To best meet the needs of the pupils, we provide a supportive environment for each individual. offer opportunities for all-round educational ,personal, and social growth.
We work collaboratively with local authority SEN teams to ensure that pupils needs are met effectively and supported appropriately.
Staff receive regular training from both external and internal trainers, in order to provide an individualised, support package to help pupils reach their potential.
This includes:
- ACEs and Early Trauma
- PACE
- Making sense of Autism
- Behaviour Management
- Mental Health First Aid
- Braive/ELSA
- De-Escalation techniques including Team Teach

In order to support our pupils, we work closely with external agencies such as the Educational Psychologist Service (EPS), Special Educational Needs Support Service (SENSS) and Health professionals, including CAMHS, Speech and Language Therapy (SALT), Paediatrics and We Are With You, to deliver differentiated learning experiences and to co-ordinate application for and management of Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP’s).
Our in-school intervention programme offers pupils the opportunity to work towards personal goals and targets, many of which are associated with their EHCPs. This is customised to the individual, and is monitored and adapted to encourage progress and success of their Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We have an inhouse referral process whereby pupils are referred for our intervention support. This can be initiated by staff, Parents/Carers or self-referrals.
We offer interventions from staff across the school including:

- Talk with Ted (school dog)
